Drama is a destination that combines activities that cover every type of entertainment and tourism. With 8 visiting wineries and a host of restaurants offering unique wine tours close to nature. Within walking distance there are beautiful beaches certified with blue flag and free for the public!

Just 60km from Drama, the visitor of the region meets one of the most beautiful forest of the country, the famous forest of Elatia, whose wealth of fauna and flora in the mountains of Central Rodopi is a reference point for the prefecture and nortern Greece. Elatia or Karantere is a mountain of Macedonia with a maximumaltitude of 1,826 meters (peak Chakalos). 

Virgin Forest is its unique country and is considered to be the most important of its kind in Europe. It was recorded as a virgin (an area of 11,000 acres) in 1979 and immediately in 1980 it was declared a preserves monument of nature bacause of its great phytogeographical, ecological and historical value. It is a located st the northeastern adege of the prefecture of Drama, below the highestpeak of Central Rodopi at 1,953 m.

Nestos, a water trail of rare beauty and nature that preserves  unique emotions and experiences for the traveler . In the case of Nestos, the journey is important, not the destination. The ultimate destination of Nestos is where the river meets the sea, forming a large Delta, is a protected area of the treaty, Ramsar, Natura 2000 and a whole lot more. 

One of the most important tourist attractions in Eastern Macedonia is the cave of Aggitis River, which has the uniqueness of being the largest rivwr cave in the world.

In the center of the city, the green park of Santa Barbara, with its huge plane trees, small lakes and wooden bridges certainly does not resemble a small provincial city but a central European destination. The part is a trademark of the city, which has been included in the 60 most beautiful parks in Europe, within the framework of the Culture 2000 program. The scenery of the park is amazing natural beauty and is a true oasis in the urban center of  Drama. The park took its name from the church of Santa Barbara located in the same place. 

The area of Drama, as evidenced by scattered archaeological finds, was an immense vineyard in antiquity, which also justifies the worship of Dionysos in sveral parts of the plain but also within Drama itself. However, the cultivation of the vine and the production of wine are not just a typical agricultural process. It also a sign of welfare and culture. 'Wine glorifies the heart of man'. Wine Roads is a touristic proposal to the modern traveler. The route is complemented by remarkable restaurants, tavernas and hotels, traditional shops and alternative activities. The international distinctions that have been made in recent years by the Dragon wine producers clearly show the excellent specifications of their units, the interest they invest in high vinification art and the excellent natural conditions guaranteed by the land of Drama.
